What do you need for Brazilian waxing?
Mainly you need three things to get started with Brazilian waxing yourself. Of course the wax itself. In addition, first you need a preparation product, the so-called pre-wax oil and before after the treatment the afterwax lotion. All three products ensure that you get the best results. A super smooth skin and a well cared for feeling. Further on in this article you will find more information about the types of waxes.
How does the treatment work?
To start with Brazilian waxing it is useful that the hairs are not too short. So let it take some time, otherwise the wax will not adhere well. Some people find this way of waxing painful. If you think so too, or if you are hesitant about it, it can help to take a painkiller beforehand such as paracetamol, but better not aspirin. Once you are ready for the treatment, it is first of all important to clean and degrease the skin properly. It is best to use an alcohol-containing pre-wax lotion for this. Apply a small amount of talcum powder or pre-wax oil and remove the excess with a clean tissue. Then apply the wax to the area where you want to get rid of the hairs. This can be done with a spatula, brush or resin cartridge, with some pressure so that the hairs are well absorbed by the wax. Then pull the resin in at a fast pace from the outside to the inside. And voila, the hairs are gone! Small hairs that have not been taken away, you can always remove them yourself with tweezers. The last step is to cool the skin. The skin may also have become red as a result of the treatment. Soften the skin by using an afterwax. In our assortment we have a wide range of these lotions for after waxing.
How long will the hair stay away?
The speed of hair growth is different for everyone. Therefore, it is not possible to give a definite answer to the question of how long the hairs stay away. However, you can assume that after the first treatment the result will remain about three to six weeks. If you depilate more often in this way, the hairs will eventually be easier to treat.
Synthetic film wax the best to use for Brazilian waxing
The synthetic film wax is specially used to remove hair from delicate areas or by people with sensitive skin. Ideal for a Brazilian wax. This film wax is a lot friendlier to the skin and free of pine resin. The risk of rash and irritation of the skin is smaller. It is a wax 2.0 say, renewed and hypoallergenic. The wax doesn't break off and is extra flexible and makes this way of waxing less painful than regular waxes, because the wax sticks mainly to the hairs and not to the skin. Use it with a spatula. For the pre- and after wax we have the following products in our assortment which we definitely recommend to use: Pre Wax Lotion & After Wax Lotion
